Nondiscrimination and complaint procedures

Title VI and Title IIIB

Independent Living Partnership (ILP) is committed to providing services that are accessible, fair, and free from discrimination.

Title VI — Civil Rights Act of 1964

ILP complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.

ILP also complies with the requirements outlined in the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Circular 4702.1B, which establishes Title VI requirements and guidelines for FTA recipients and subrecipients.

Title IIIB — Older Americans Act

ILP also adheres to the Riverside County Office on Aging (RCOoA) Title IIIB Dispute Resolution: Complaint and Grievance Policy, which establishes a standard process for reviewing and resolving complaints or grievances related to services.

This policy applies to any complaint or grievance involving services delivered by an RCOoA employee, volunteer, intern, service provider, or affiliated vendor. All complaints are reviewed in a timely manner and in accordance with the standards outlined in the policy. The policy is made accessible to service providers and to individuals seeking or receiving services, so they understand how to submit and resolve service-related disputes.
