Who is eligible to enroll?

Senior citizens and persons with disabilities who don’t drive and are unable to use public transportation are eligible to enroll. All enrollees must be residents of Riverside County, California.

Does TRIP Riverside County schedule rides and provide drivers?

TRIP does not schedule rides or provide drivers. Instead, the program supports these personal transportation arrangements by reimbursing mileage for eligible trips.

How much do riders pay?

Nothing. Rides are free to riders.

How long does enrollment take?

Typically, the enrollment process takes about a month. The application process includes a telephone interview and a review by our eligibility committee, which meets monthly.

What types of trips are eligible?

TRIP reimburses for different kinds of trips, including travel to medical appointment and pharmacies, travel to grocery stores; and travel to senior centers.

How do I submit a reimbursement request?

When a rider enrolls in TRIP, we send a welcome packet with helpful information on how to submit the monthly mileage reimbursement request.

Do riders have to be residents of Riverside County, or can they live elsewhere and access services in Riverside County?

Enrolled riders must be residents of Riverside County to be reimbursed by TRIP Riverside County.
